29 Tracks – Punk, Noise, Grindcore.
Hardcore/Grindcore band from Zagreb, Croatia (ex-Yugoslavia).
Patareni are a band whose appearance denies their existence.
Founded in Zagreb sometime in the early 80’s.They are known for having more releases than concerts and yet more concerts than rehearsals, which makes them innovators. They are also known for frequent line-up changes, and most famous for the fact that the current members of the band are still unknown.
It is also known that in early 1986 (in fact the idea came in late summer 1985, but it due to laziness it took some time) they made a project called Buka through which they expressed their musical education and in the first two rehearsals in 1988 recorded 112 songs lasting half an hour.
Let us also mention that back in 1986, they invented the word ‘Debilana’, which first entered slang and later ordinary speech, and by the very act they can again be classified as innovators. They made a project of the same name, which was realized as early as 1988, which gives the conclusion that laziness mercifully bypassed them in those years.
Another unknown fact is that Patareni are the first band to have an independent CD release in Croatia. The CD was released in early 1991 and was distributed all over the world, including excavations in Šćitarjevo am Sava junior.
In 1994, the ‘Tribute to Patareni’ record appeared, which featured bands from all over the world, whose presence supports the band’s unpromising activities and ideas.
